Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DooJobs platform, operated by Doopinet LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a company registered and operating from Cameroon. The Platform includes our website and mobile applications (iOS and Android), collectively referred to as the "Platform."

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Definitions

  • "Platform" means the DooJobs website, mobile applications, and all related services.
  • "User" means any individual or entity who accesses or uses the Platform, including Candidates and Employers.
  • "Candidate" means a User who creates a profile, uploads a resume, or applies for jobs through the Platform.
  • "Employer" means a User (company or individual) who registers to post job listings, search candidates, or manage recruitment processes through the Platform.
  • "Content" means any text, data, documents, images, or other materials uploaded or submitted through the Platform.
  • "Subscription" means a paid plan that grants Employers access to premium features and services.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Platform.
  • If you are registering on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
  • By using the Platform, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

3. Account Registration and Security

  • You must create an account to access most features of the Platform.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at jobs@doopinet.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent.

4. Platform Services

4.1 For Candidates

The Platform allows Candidates to:

  • Create and manage a professional profile and upload resumes.
  • Search and browse job listings posted by Employers.
  • Apply for jobs, including submitting cover letters, documents, and responses to custom questionnaires.
  • Receive job alerts based on saved preferences.
  • Participate in interview scheduling and onboarding processes.
  • Control resume visibility (public or private) in the talent database.

4.2 For Employers

The Platform allows Employers to:

  • Register a company, manage company profile, and configure recruitment settings.
  • Post job listings with requirements, skills, categories, and locations.
  • Receive and manage job applications, including reviewing resumes, rating candidates, and adding notes.
  • Search the candidate database (resume hunt) based on subscription tier.
  • Schedule interviews (including via Zoom integration) and manage the hiring pipeline.
  • Use AI-assisted features for job description generation and candidate matching.
  • Manage team members with role-based permissions.
  • Complete KYC verification for enhanced trust and credibility.

4.3 Multi-Tenant Structure

Each Employer account operates as an isolated tenant within the Platform. Company data, job postings, applications, and settings are separated from other Employers. The Platform administrator (Doopinet LLC) maintains cross-tenant oversight for platform integrity and support purposes.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Certain features are available only through paid Subscriptions. Available plans and pricing are displayed on the Platform.
  • Subscription fees are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected by the Employer at the time of purchase.
  • Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers, including Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, and Mesomb (mobile money for Central Africa). You agree to the terms of the payment provider you select.
  • All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Employers in Cameroon may be subject to local tax regulations.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may manage your subscription from your account settings.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at jobs@doopinet.com for refund requests.
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice. Existing subscriptions will honor the pricing at the time of purchase until the end of the current billing cycle.

6. User Content and Conduct

6.1 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of the Content you upload to the Platform (resumes, job postings, company information, etc.).
  • By uploading Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and distribute your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Platform services.
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your Content.

6.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or candidate profiles.
  • Use the Platform to discriminate against any person based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected characteristic, except as permitted by applicable law.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Platform without our written consent.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, the Platform's infrastructure, or associated systems.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any malicious code.
  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Platform.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Platform without authorization.
  • Use candidate data obtained through the Platform for purposes unrelated to legitimate recruitment activities.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The Platform, including its design, code, logos, trademarks, and all proprietary content, is owned by Doopinet LLC and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
  • "DooJobs" and the DooJobs logo are trademarks of Doopinet LLC. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services to enhance functionality:

  • LinkedIn: For profile import and authentication.
  • Zoom: For video interview scheduling.
  • Payment Processors: Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, and Mesomb for payment handling.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: For spam prevention and security.
  • Cloud Storage: For secure file storage (where configured).

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or availability of third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

  • The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
  • We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of any job listing, company profile, or candidate information posted on the Platform. Employers and Candidates are responsible for conducting their own due diligence.
  • We are not a party to any employment agreement between Employers and Candidates. Any hiring decisions, employment terms, or disputes are solely between the parties involved.
  • AI-assisted features (job description generation, resume analysis, candidate matching) are provided as tools to assist users. Results are suggestions and should be reviewed by the user before use.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Doopinet LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
  • We shall not be liable for any losses resulting from unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure your credentials.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Doopinet LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
  • Content you upload, post, or otherwise make available through the Platform.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Any dispute between you and another User of the Platform.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required by law.
  • You may delete your account at any time through the Platform or by contacting us. Account deletion follows a scheduled process with a cancellation period, after which your data will be permanently removed (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to Sections 7, 10, 11, 12, and 15) will continue in effect.

14. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you through the Platform or via email. Your continued use of the Platform after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cameroon.
  • Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
  • If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within thirty (30) days, it shall be submitted to the competent courts of Douala, Cameroon.
  • Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising rights under mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Doopinet LLC regarding the Platform.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
  • Language: These Terms are provided in English and French. In the event of a conflict between translations, the English version shall prevail.
