We operate the DooJobs platform, a multi-tenant SaaS job recruitment portal accessible via our website and mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you use the Platform.

Doopinet LLC is operated by Doopinet LLC, registered and operating from Cameroon. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you register for an account, apply for a job, post a job listing, or use our services, we may collect:

Account Information: Name, email address, password, phone number(s), profile photo, gender, and date of birth.
Company Information (Employers): Company name, address, phone number(s), company email, website, company description, logo, industry, company size, and tax identification number.
Job Application Data (Candidates): Full name, email, phone, cover letter, resume/CV documents, skills, education history, work experience, certifications, awards, languages spoken, location preferences, salary expectations, and answers to custom application questionnaires.
Resume/Profile Data: Professional title, total work experience, education degrees, availability status, marital status, nationality, driving licence status, portfolio/website links, and any other information you choose to include in your profile.
KYC Verification Documents: Identity verification documents submitted by companies for trust and verification purposes.
Payment Information: Billing details necessary for processing subscription payments. We do not store full credit card numbers; payment processing is handled by our third-party payment providers.
Communications: Messages, notes, feedback, and any other content you submit through the Platform, including contact form inquiries.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use the Platform, we may automatically collect:

Usage Data: Pages viewed, search queries, features used, actions taken, and interaction timestamps.
Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and app version.
Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and error logs for troubleshooting and security monitoring.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

LinkedIn: If you choose to sign in or import your profile via LinkedIn, we receive your name, email, profile photo, and professional details as authorized by you.
Payment Providers: Transaction confirmation details from Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, or Mesomb (mobile money).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and Operate the Platform: Facilitate job postings, applications, candidate searches, interview scheduling, and onboarding processes.
Create and Manage Accounts: Register users, authenticate logins, verify email addresses, and manage user profiles.
Process Payments: Handle subscription billing, invoicing, and payment verification for employer accounts.
Enable Communication: Send email notifications about application status changes, interview invitations, job alerts, and platform updates.
AI-Assisted Features: Provide AI-powered job description generation, resume analysis, and candidate matching to improve the recruitment experience.
Improve Our Services: Analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and develop new features.
Ensure Security: Detect fraud, prevent unauthorized access, and enforce our Terms of Use.
Comply with Legal Obligations: Fulfill requirements under applicable Cameroonian law and other jurisdictions where our users are located.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Between Employers and Candidates: When you apply for a job, your application data (name, resume, cover letter, questionnaire answers) is shared with the employer. When employers search the resume database, candidate profiles with a public privacy setting are visible.
Service Providers: We engage trusted third-party companies to perform services on our behalf, including:
- Payment processing (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Mesomb)
- Video conferencing for interviews (Zoom)
- Email delivery services
- Cloud storage providers (AWS S3, where configured)
- AI service providers for intelligent features
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Doopinet LLC, our users, or the public.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and implement access controls and authentication measures to protect stored data.
Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (bcrypt).
API authentication uses secure token-based authentication (Laravel Sanctum).
File uploads (resumes, documents, photos) are stored securely on local servers or cloud storage (AWS S3), depending on our configuration.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
Job application records are retained (including soft-deleted records) for a reasonable period to support recruitment workflows, auditing, and dispute resolution.
Payment and transaction records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
Upon account deletion, your data enters a scheduled deletion process. You may cancel deletion during the cancellation period. After the period expires, your personal data will be permanently removed, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to any legal retention requirements.

We may use Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam and abuse. Google reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

8. International Data Transfers

Our Platform is operated from Cameroon. If you access the Platform from outside Cameroon, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Cameroon or other countries where our service providers operate (including but not limited to the United States for cloud hosting and payment processing). By using the Platform, you consent to such transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your data receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. 10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., employer websites, LinkedIn profiles). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
