- Supervises: CAMPHIA 2024 warehouse logisticians staff
- Job Location: Assigned work zone.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage CAMPHIA survey supplies at the satellite Laboratory store.
- Receive orders, verify, consolidate, sort and replenish stock at the satellite and central warehouses and adhere to the CAMPHIA protocol, SOPs, and other appropriate regulations, procedures, and policies.
- Ensure availability, appropriate storage, and good working condition of necessary equipment and oversee the distribution of these equipment, consumables, and other office supplies to CAMPHIA staff in their work zones (WZ).
- Work in collaboration with the warehouse manager to ensure all CAMPHIA survey materials are adequately stored, organized consumption monitored, and accurately documented.
- Ensure the stock management software/spreadsheet is updated.
- Ensure the safety of all CAMPHIA staff and material on the field through close collaboration with administrative and security officials Prepare and submit daily updates and weekly reports on the project's progress.
- Attend weekly progress review meetings with all stakeholders to discuss challenges and get inputs and instructions from technical experts and the CAMPHIA Team hierarchy on how to improve on and advance with project execution.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Survey Coordinator.
Other Skills relevant to the position.
Familiarity with the logistics and operational aspects of conducting lab surveys is essential. This includes understanding the processes involved in sample collection, transportation, storage, and analysis, as well as knowledge of laboratory quality management systems. Knowledge of biosafety and biosecurity practices is crucial. This includes understanding and following proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures for biological materials. Proficiency in inventory management is important to track and manage the flow of laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables. This includes maintaining accurate records, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating the procurement and distribution of supplies. Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines in conducting lab surveys will be an added advantage.
Required technical experience
- Minimum 3 years work experience in supply chain management, with a strong background in inventory control, data analysis and warehouse operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English and French required.
- Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to provide timely solutions and adapt to changing conditions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work after normal working hours and on weekends with constant travel outside of the duty station.
