We are a UK based not-for-profit organisation working to inspire children and young people in Africa through education. We do this through mentorship, skills training, education support, research, and advocacy to promote equitable access to quality education.
We envision a society where children and young people have equitable access to quality education and opportunities, where they can confidently participate as agents of change and development while making positive contributions to decision-making in their homes, communities and nation.
Most of our work is carried out in Cameroon where we currently run a youth empowerment center. Our Limbe-based center hosts a library and multimedia facilities with books and IT services available for free. Meanwhile, our Bangem Vocational Training Centre is equipped with sewing machines, computers, space and volunteers to train young people in sewing, IT, office management and secretarial duties.
We rely on the goodwill of volunteers both locally and internationally to effectively carry out our work. Visit our website www.sodei.org for information about what we do.
